We had an amazing afternoon at the Coach 2 Edify (C2E) Villa with the students from the Optimum Performance Institute this past Saturday! I was fortunate enough to spend the last hour with them; and although I had examples and talked about doing a project based on the classes that Mayra (of C2E) taught earlier that day, that wasn't exactly what they did! I sort of knew that they were needing a shift after some heavy classes and a lot of information...So although they didn't do a project based page I was so happy that almost all of them embraced doing something! That they were able to sit outside in the beautiful space that Mayra has so carefully set up for her foundtion. That they were able to switch to the right side of the brain for a little while. They were so busy drawing, doodling, collaging and writing! I had a hard time choosing just a few photos but here they are! After the photos, as promised is a right up on Mayra's Soulworkout #1: Balance Wheel.

Ok, the Balance Wheel! This is basically a very useful tool that Mayra came up with to assess ourselves. A way to look at areas in our lives that may need attention. She has a quiz based on eight areas of our physical and mental well-being. There are anywhere from three to five questions to answer and although I will not put Mayra's entire class here on the blog I am going to give you two questions from each. You'll get the idea and hopefully you'll want to make your wheel. As you go through each question you give it a 1 to 10 rating and then you take an average from that. Here is my visual journal page so you can see what this looks like.

What I loved about doing this is that once you get a visual of your wheel it is so clear where you are out of balance! For me I seem to be really lacking in Spiritual Health and my relationships with Friends. I knew right away that I have not been meditating (I used to regularly) or reading as much as I'd like to. And because of my new studio and work commitments I have been a total hermit so I have not been spending enough time with girlfriends...and so on.
Ok! So here you go, here's the short version of this fabulous exercise and please! If you'd like the whole quiz and the visual balance wheel that you can color in just shoot me an email and I will send them to you. I'd be happy to!
Rate each statement or question from 1 - 10 (10 being the best)

Ok guys, hope you enjoy and maybe think of some of your own questions! Then take a few moments to assess where you are. Are you fairly balanced? And again, if you'd like the entire quiz, the visual wheel and the assessment page please email me and I'll get it right over to you!
Tomorrow I'm doing a write up on Mayra's Soulworkout #2: Thought Catcher! This is my favorite class that Mayra teaches at the foundtion! I'll show my journal page based on this class, the visual can be so fun to create!!
